*sigh* Anoop is so smooth. Imagine a whole CD of that voice. I have a feeling when Anoop's cd comes out it will be my new alltime fave cd ever.

Here is the longer version of Crazy Love. You can see Anoop walking onto the stage, greeting Amos, and stuff.

guys, i always think that all of the comments that the judges said is that pop is the best genre for anoop. they didn't mention any R&B for anoop... i was wondering the "usher" performance for anoop, the vocal was sweet and very beautiful but the performance, it is just like what Randy said (not what Simon said). So, what will happen after this idol? hehe...

I believe the judges said Anoop was at his best when he took a pop song and made it R&B. Anoop's album is going to be incredible!!!!

I am a Kiss Kiss junkie at the moment so something like that would be sweet.

yup, the kiss kiss was just perfect to anoop, no offense but he sang better that the original, hehe. Well, he still gotta learn A LOT if really R&B is the one that he's going to enter. Former AI Ruben was also saying that he's going to go in R&B, it was difficult though. And u know, i think he gotta have a different signature that anoopdogg because it's really sound like snoopdogg, even though anoopdogg sounds cuter hehe

ANOOP! I think he should go for just one name. Very unique...very much like what it means. BTW, Ruben IS R&B...it's just that nowadays, R&B is so much associated with Hiphop, because of Ne-Yo and Chris Brown, which is the current trend. And Ruben is more associated with gospel, i think. I don't follow his career. Regardless of what the judges said, i think Anoop CAN make really good upbeat music (e.g. Kiss Kiss). He just needs to have some really nice moves.

yup, the moves.... is so much related to the R&B artist. yup, just ANOOP! doesnt need DOGG behind, because it is really sound alike with snoopdogg, i wonder what will be the comment from the former R&B artist. but he'll make it, we know it for sure

I think Anoop knows he is not a rapper. But I bet he has a guest rapper or two on his album. And Anoop says his album will be Pop/R&B so we know he's not going for straight R&B. And he has mentioned Brit rock, so I see him putting one or two of those songs on there too. I would love to se him put at least one a cappella song on there. Maybe with some former Clefs. (You know he's not leaving those guys behind!) I just hope he has no more than two ballads on his cd or it might be called boring. And I love his dorky moves so I hope he keeps them! He doesn't need to dance around like Usher. He needs to just be Anoop. And I like that - just one name - ANOOP!

Anoop shouldn't go overboard with the guest rappers though. Jamie Foxx's album has too many "featuring artists" and he should make sure not all the songs sound the same. e.g. Flo Rida's album.

he still gotta learn the move... to be honest his caught up was very great vocally, but the performance itself it still cant attack other people to start loving him, but make the one that already love him, love him more! ehehe

He said in an interview that he really likes Chrisette Michele's music which is kind of retro R&B, almost jazzy...Chrisette sounds like she belongs to a throwback era...which is I think making a trend nowadays.....what with those British artists like Adele, Amy Winehouse and Duffy hitting it big with their retro-ish sound.........
He also mentioned Maxwell...who is another old-school R&B artists...i think this type of R&B will suit him perfectly..I mean Beggin' (which is a revival) fit him like a glove.....
He may also want to check out Raphael Saadiq...he picks up the sounds of Motown to his new songs...nice too...
Although I think really pop R&B songs will staying for a while at the top of the charts....there's room for some change...esp. for really cool throwback R&B music that focuses on the voices and the music rather than the technology and special effects....

I think Anoop will definitely stand out in R&B if he chooses that route. He just has to choose the right songs for his voice. If he does that, then he's on his way to making a stellar album.

Check Maxwell's MTV unplugged version of This Woman's Work...the bomb! www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JYxc...57D20DA2C07065Maxwell kind of reminds me of Anoop-same smooth, soulful, sexy voice.Seeing his live performances on YT, Anoop has sort of the same moves---very emotionally involved. But their voices aren't exactly the same...but I can see Anoop singing the same type of songs Maxwell is doing--more soulful songs....but of course, because Anoop is young, some of his songs shld be pop R&B. I think today's pop R&B songs are heavy on production side--much use of technology to get a desired effect...which is something the is the opposite of songs of some neo-soul artists like Maxwell(altho production remains excellent), the focus is more on the melody and lyrics so main thrust is the voice...not the production or the technology. Since I read Chris' blog(the controversial Sligh blog)...I'm thinking that if Anoop doesn't get signed by a major label who will back him up...then maybe he can focus more on the soul/neo-soul genre...which I think has a more or less captured audience--people who appreciate this type of music(for me...real music that are bound to be classics)....like with Maxwell, despite the so many years of absence, he was warmly received(of course, it's mainly because he's fantastic)....I just think mainstream pop genre is very fickle and requires a lot of promotion... Either way...I'd love to hear a new song from Anoop--soul/neo-soul or pop R&B. Lately,I have been hooked to listening to Maxwell....and gosh dar it....he really reminds me of Anoop.....in many ways: 1. The voice-soulful, smooth, sexy, and more on the higher range(tenor/countertenor) without going the Ne-Yo or CB or Usher kind of "shrilly" voice..... 2. They both have that same "preciseness" in their notes....with great control of their voices (see above link to maxwell video) 3. They both perform kind of the same...very generous with emotive gestures (using the hands, fingers...in other videos...maxwell also sometimes goes down to his knees while performing)... 4.They both have impeccable timing and phrasing of songs... 5. They are both good-looking dudes (albeit one is Indian and the other Caribbean-African)... 6. They are both intelligent, articulate and well-spoken people...I have watched a few interviews and read articles quoting Maxwell....and yeah, they're both very self-aware... 7. They both have a "shy" side to them...Maxwell's always been humble and soft-spoken throughout his interviews ...something that Anoop also exudes (altho at times, Anoop looks kind of bored and a little peeved in interviews)... 8. Oh...I have always heard people referring to Maxwell's voice and music as mostly "baby-making" music...Maxwell has tremendous sex appeal...something that I also hear people saying about Anoop...

Steph and Mia posted the lyrics to his original song (cowritten with David Mikush) "Give In To Her Love"
She likes diamond rings, fancy things I cant afford I know I can never watch you go When she comes around, she eats me out the house or home I.... I can't be alone
And I swear to God to follow her all around the place Like a parachute with nowhere to land...its that kind of pain And I'll recognize how unhealthy we live our lives Dangerously, recklessly, carelessly Painfully.....
And I need her love I need her love I need her love
So I would carry on giving in to get her love Do what I have to do, you're nowhere around me, baby I'd turn off my phone, I got a loan and sell my car Nothing's too far, carry on, that's what I have to do
Cause I need her love I need her love I need her love
So I will give in to her love Give in to her love I'll give in to her love Give in to her love I'll give in to her love I will
Yeah I will give in to her love Give in to her love I'll give in to her love Give in to her love I'll give in to her love I will
Yeah I will give in to her love Give in to her love Give in to her love Give in to her love I'll give in to her love I will
You can watch the performance (Tawnee's video): [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMwj0aeWtVc['youtube]

Anoop posted a demo version of Keri Hilson's Make Love in his myspace: www.myspace.com/anoopdesaimusicI don't like that song at all....think it's representative of what I don't like about some of the pop R&B songs in the charts nowadays....ie, more about beats and hooks and less about vocals and emotions.....you know those songs...overprocessed IMO. But Anoop's version....the more I listen to it, the more I'm liking it. I think Anoop shows how he excels in songs where he can put emotion to the lyrics he sings....In the original version-IMO--keri Hilson's voice is overpowered (and seems like her voice is just backdrop and used as some sort of aphrodisiac or something---the song becomes very steamy and sexy ergo commercial)by the beats and all the other techno stuff...... In Anoop's version-IMO--the songs becomes much, much more emotional albeit still very sexy......but there's more yearning and longing and it's not just about sex per se....if you get what I mean....VERY,VERY,VERY NICE.... Now I think I get what the judges (particularly Kara) have been saying to Anoop while in the show.....it's when he puts "soul" into the songs that he stands out..... Yep...Anoop can also do a cover of this....I prefer his version over the original....and that's not just because I'm an Anoop fan(because some of the songs he's covered didn't really work for me).....
