Hi! I was at this show. I took a lot of pictures (although most came out bad lol, but the Anoop ones by the barricades were good!) and a video of Beggin. I will definitely post all the pictures and a huge recap of the show! I'm really tired today from little sleep the past few days, but I'm super happy that I got to meet Anoop!
I'll just post a little about my barricade experience and post a lot more details about that and the concert later. Most importantly, I was able HAND DELIVER the Don't Stop Belieivin' fan message scrapbook directly to Anoop, along with Diana and Tnet's gifts, and Anoopcast Sarah's letter. I just gave him the big bag of stuff to all the idols because he was the first to come out and I wasn't sure if I would get to see Michael to give him the scrapbook. Plus there were two little cards I wrote to Kris and Matt and one for all the idols in general. I told Anoop that there was stuff for Michael in there too. And when I spoke to Michael, I mentioned giving Anoop the scrapbook to give to him and Michael said Anoop gave it to him and that the scrapbook Diana made was the reason he came out to the barriers. He wasn't feeling well and wasn't going to come out to sign, but that scrapbook made him do it! So that was incredibly sweet and I called Diana immediately to tell her he said that. And besides being incredibly sweet, it means Anoop must have looked in the bag and saw our messages (or at least skimmed them because it was a lot of reading material lol). So that totally made my day.
The other notable point was I told Anoop "I just want to say you have so many international fans. They said to tell you hi and they love you." And he said wow Thank you. Thank you. Somebody told me to tell him that, I don't remember who lol. I wanted to videotape a message of him shouting out to the international fans, but it was so dark you wouldn't be able to see it.
So anyway, there's more details of my meeting with him lol and of course I want to talk all about the concert, but that's the most important stuff for now. I'll definitely post a hugely detailed review by the weekend!

Here are my concert pictures on facebook. www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2025421&id=77501968&l=6351547455I have a video of Beggin to upload yet and LOL I have this video of me debating whether to take video because it was so dark at the barricades. You could see Anoop for like 2 seconds because of people's camera flashes.

from bamberrific Anoop + unidentifiable white thing in his hair (which he said at the barricades after that he hadn't known the whatever-it-was was there, and seemed a little embarrassed about it... kinda like when you're talking to someone for half an hour, excuse yourself to go to the bathroom and notice you've had something in your teeth the whole time. Why didn't anyone tell me?! That kind of reaction):

I honestly didn't even notice that thing in his hair. The other people at the barricades mentioned it. I never saw it. I guess because I was on the opposite side of the stage and only mostly saw his left side and front.
Thank you 4noopy for telling me that! I deleted my youtube videos. Didn't want to take a chance and be sued or something for copyright.
has this ever happened to anyone?

Wonder if Joe will pay for my trip to California?
Anyway, I'm working on my recap. It's so long I'll just highlight the Anoop parts because I don't think everyone is going to want to read a mini-novel. But I wanted to write down as much as possible so I could read it back later and always remember it.

As promised here is my fully detailed barricade experience. It's LONG! I like to write lol. I bolded the specific actual meeting with Anoop part. The other stuff is somewhat Anoop related, but if you don't want to read the whole novel haha, that's the most important Anoop info. I’ll do my full meeting with Anoop first before I forget anymore of it. So as soon as DSB was over, I literally ran out of the venue and over to the barricades where I’d waited that afternoon: one problem – no barricades were set up. I just stood there waiting to see if they’d put up some barricades after everybody exited the arena. A minute or two later, a group of people walk up to this security guard and ask him where the idols are signing. He points to the left and they head off; I follow. A huge three sided fence was set up along the hill, making this shape I___I. I was the second to last person over on the right of the _____ part. I was surrounded by Adam fans, and they were all extremely nice. We started talking. They said: “So you’re an Anoop fan?” I’m like “YES!” and suddenly somebody pointed up to a window near the top of the arena. There stood a guy talking on a cell phone looking out the window. It looked like Anoop! Approximately same height and build. I immediately started waving. Then the lady next to me said she thought it looked like Adam. We started debating who it was, and I pulled out my camera and put it on fullest zoom. Still couldn’t get close enough to see distinguish the person. I took a picture anyway lol. The guy was wearing a blue shirt. “Anoop wears blue a lot!” I said. “Maybe it really is him!” Eventually the guy moved back more into the light of the room and we saw his hair color. It was light. Not Anoop! We were all so disappointed. We’re like so it’s nobody in the window. Then the one girl says, it’s not nobody, he’s still a person. Yes, he’s still a child of God. Whoever he was he got a nice 15 seconds of fame haha. So we continued talking. I showed the cool Adam lady next to me the Don’t Stop Believin’ scrapbook. She really liked it and said it was nice it was small so he could carry it around with him. And I agreed and said that was exactly the reason I made it that size because I knew they received many tour gifts and probably didn’t have a ton of room for them on the bus. A few minutes later, somebody comes out. It was so dark (as you’ll see if you watch my fail video ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=BElhR-Rk0Jk ) we couldn’t tell who it was. My wishful thinking again was saying, “It looks like Anoop!” Height and build looked right. Could it really be though? Anoop actually coming out to sign, and first?!?! Could I really be that lucky? We all kept looking and wondering as the guy made his way down the line. When he was about halfway down the line I saw it: the hoodie. “It IS Anoop!” I say, in kind of the same tone Belle says “It IS you!” when the beast turns back into the prince in Beauty and the Beast lol. I started freaking out and fumbling around in the Anoop gift bag, looking for my paper for them all to sign. (I had placed all the gifts into the one big orange Michael bag Diana sent me. My plan had been to give everything to whoever was the first male idol to come out. Male because most of the gifts were for Michael and Anoop. I had also written cards for Matt (and postcards from Oregon Sarah) and Kris (with Anoopcast Sarah’s friendship bracelet she forgot to give him in Boston.) I had also written a general card for all the season 8 idols. I kind of got carried away with my writing lol.) So anyway, the awesome Adam lady next to me was like “What can I do to help?” I gave her my camera, found the autograph sheet, and gave it to her. She offered to get all the idols’ autographs for me since she had been to other shows and had everybody’s signatures except Adam. So anyway, Anoop continues making his way down the line. I debate whether to videotape it because it’s so dark you can’t see with the camera. Finally, the nice Adam fan suggests I take a picture to have to keep forever (aw) so I follow her advice. Anoop comes closer and closer. He signs the wonderful Adam lady’s paper for me and gets to me. He’s standing right in front of me now, and I say “Hi! I’m amc from twitter.” I figured if he had read his tweets earlier he definitely would have recognized amc from all the pimping (Thank you guys!) so I said that instead of Anne Marie. I was talking super fast because there was so much I wanted to say, and 1) he was tired. You can tell from the pictures, 2) he was moving along at a nice pace down the line, so I didn’t want to be taking up so much time, and 3) this was Anoop Desai I was talking to. He was like two feet in front of me. Fangirliness is an automatic response. “I have a gift for you.” I hand him the bag, and he says “Thank you.” Then I do something probably totally improper and start telling him what’s in it. (I’m doing this because as I mentioned, there’s stuff for the other idols in there too, and I just wanted him to know there was a lot of stuff for him so he didn’t see the Michael scrapbook and be like “this girl gave me the wrong package” or something. So I’m like “there’s a UNC championship dvd in there. It’s from Diana from Texas. And some fan messages.” And he’s like “thank you” again. I might have said a little something else. I can’t remember. Anyway, as I talked to him, he looked right at me and I had this fangirl moment. Wow, he’s looking right at me and it looked like he was listening intently. Maybe he was and maybe he wasn’t. He was so tired! Maybe he was just nodding at anything lol.
So he starts to head away from me to the next person when I say, “Oh and there’s a scrapbook for Michael in there as well.” I just wanted to make sure Michael got his gift too. I didn’t mention all the other cards because I figured he’d see them when he looked and I couldn’t stand there talking to him forever. Well I could, but he needed to get moving lol. So he looks at me again and says something like “Okay, I’ll give it to him.”
Then he moves on down the line. I take the two pictures I have of him at the barricades. This girl says something to him, and he anwers: “Okay, I’ll come back.” Maybe she wanted an autograph, but couldn’t find her paper or something. I don’t know. Anyway, he finishes on down the line, and I’m saying to the ladies around me, “I’m so glad I got to give him the gift directly. Now I know he got it.” And they are happy for me. And I’ve still got my camera. The nice Adam lady says “It’d be great if you could get a picture with him when comes back.” And I’m like yeah it would!!!!
Anoop finishes signing down the line, then comes back to the girl like two feet away from me and signs or takes a picture with her or something. And then Anoop is kind of in front of me again, so I say “And I just wanted to say you have so many international fans.” And he says “Wow” and looks kind of surprised. And I’m surprised that he’s surprised. Don’t know if he was surprised about the fans or surprised that I kept talking to him or what. (I’m SO quiet and shy in real life that I was in quite rare form that night. There was just SO much I wanted to say to Anoop, which I guess was kind of stupid because that was why I wrote him a long message for the book.) But anyway, all along I planned that if I ever did get to meet Anoop, I would have him do a shoutout to the international fans because they are so awesome! And since they couldn’t get to see the tour live, this was the very least I could do. And I remembered someone telling me to tell Anoop that they said hi and loved him. So since I couldn’t get the video shoutout due to the lighting and time constraints, I was going to deliver the message. So I said “And they say hi and they said to tell you they love you.” So then he said “thank you” again. It was so fitting “Thank You” was being said so frequently in this little exchange! haha
And of course, every time I speak to him, I’m still thinking, “Wow, I can’t believe I’m really here speaking to him and he’s looking at me and listening to what I’m saying. Wow.” haha
Then, I think the great Adam lady says, “Can she take a picture with you?” and Anoop says “Sure” or something. (I hate how the details are foggy already!) So I hand the awesome Adam lady my camera and Anoop bends down next to me, so that his face is like inches from mine (as you can see in the cut off picture lol.) And the whole time I’m thinking “Omg, Anoop’s face is like two inches from mine!” Fangirl alert! Fangirl alert! Seriously, I was like “Anoop is RIGHT next to me. This is surreal.” So the wonderful Adam lady is fiddling with the camera (probably trying to find a way to fit us both in the frame. Darn me for putting it on full zoom!) And I’m thinking, wow I’m getting to be right next to Anoop for a long time. I hope he isn’t bothered by how long this is taking and sigh or say he has to go or something lol. And I’m also thinking, this is awesome I get to stand next to Anoop for so long! haha Finally the amazing Adam lady takes the picture and Anoop stands all the way up and I turn back around. She says something like “I couldn’t get you both into the frame.” Anoop overhears her and says “Is that okay?” and he kind of moves back to me like he’s ready to take another picture. And I’m thinking, “How nice is it that he cares that my picture came out okay?!” But I feel bad for taking up so much of his time, especially when he’s tired, so I’m like “No it’s fine. Thanks. Thank you!” without even looking to see how the picture came out. And I am kicking myself very very slightly for not taking another picture being that he offered and I was almost totally cut out of the frame (although I didn’t know it at the time). But I can’t complain because all of this was so amazing, and I honestly didn’t expect him to come out that night when they were all sick. And I’m still kind of in shock and disbelief and filled with pure happiness that I was able to meet him and hand deliver the gifts. So anyway, Anoop then walks away back to the arena, and I watch him until he gets about 10 feet away. Then the kind Adam lady starts talking to me again and tells me about the little picture mishap. And she shows me the cut-off picture, and I say “That’s okay! Anoop looks great in it!” And this other lady agrees. “Yes it was most important to get him.” And I’m also thinking it’s not such an awful thing I’m not in the picture. I’m sure I looked a mess. I hadn’t touched my hair in hours and with the wind and running to the barricades, it was all over the place, especially my bangs. So in every cloud, there’s a silver lining lol. The rest of the idols start coming out then. Actually Megan was in front of me before Anoop was, but sorry Megan. With Anoop a mere 10 feet away, I couldn’t concentrate much on you lol. I said “Hi Megan” and “thank you!” and she continued on her way. And for the rest of the time I was out at the barricades, I was just kind of in this happy daze. Very peaceful and relaxed. Chill even. I couldn’t stop grinning. I held my camera and the wonderful Adam lady got all the idols to sign my paper on her clipboard. I took pictures of them as they came down the line. A few of them looked at me kind of strangely lol, probably wondering why is this girl just standing here holding a camera and smiling. (They didn’t know the lovely Adam lady was collecting all the autographs for me.) And I didn’t take a picture of any of the idols when they were directly in front of me because I knew they were tired and I didn’t want to flash the camera light right in their face. I did take a full face forward picture of Scott because he actually posed for and invited pictures. Actually the lady with him said to us, “Do you want a picture of Scott?” and moved him right in front of us. I felt kind of bad for Scott, like he was an object or something being passed around. But he was a good sport about it. Not much else notable to report about me meeting the other idols. I told them all they did a good job, I liked them, how nice they were to come out, etc. I felt so bad for Kris who looked so so sick. I told Matt “Dazz says hi.” He didn’t say anything, so I felt a tad scorned and didn’t continue on with the rest of Dazz’s message. Maybe he didn’t hear me. Plus he was sick and tired too, although when he reached near the end of the line, he was talking about bubbletweets and when he turned around to go back inside, he said “Here you go. Here’s the pen I used to sign” and threw the pen up in the air toward the fans. I saw a missed phone call from Sarah so I called her back while I was waiting for Michael to come out. And I was so excited! I was like “I was like two inches from Anoop for like two minutes!” in reference to the picture lol. And everybody around me laughed. I mentioned in the first post about the amazing Michael moment! Oh, he actually said "Was it the Papa Bear book?"!!! On the front of the scrapbook, Diana had written 'For Our Papa Bear' or something. I was like "Yes!" And then he said what I mentioned in the opening post. I then called Diana to tell her. And again all the Adam fans around me were awing over how sweet Michael’s message was. Danny was the last idol to come out. After he passed me, I waited a few more minutes to see if Adam would come, and then decided to go. My mom was kind of crabby about having to wait while I stood at the fence, and she was sitting on a bench about 40 feet away. I’m sorry if that sounds snippy but it’s the truth! She did have foot surgery about six weeks ago and I guess her foot was still bothering her. But I explicitly told her she did not have to come to the show! My dad would have come. And I had told her SEVERAL times that I wanted to wait by the buses after the show. This was a ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY! Even my dad understood that! He told me before we left for the concert that she needed to be a little flexible. The awesome Adam lady understood how much this meant to me. (Honestly I don’t think anybody really gets it except idol fans.) She offered to drive me home if my mom wanted to leave. And I told her that I was the one who drove my mom to the concert. So then she said “Well, I guess she’s going to have to wait for you then!” and laughed. Anyway, my mom really enjoyed the concert, and she perked up on the car ride home, even having a fangirly moment over Adam lol.) And that was the conclusion of my barricade experience. I’ll write about the concert later lol, if anybody wants to read it, if anybody actually read this gigantic post. How does basically a 3 minute moment with Anoop add up to do much writing? lol But I wanted to write down EVERYTHING I was thinking, feeling, etc. so I’ll never forget it. I know I will never forget this amazing experience, but I want to treasure as many details as possible. And final note: I wish I knew the amazing Adam lady’s real name. Seriously, I would like to send her a card and thank her. She was so nice to me! She greatly contributed to making my Anoop experience a truly amazing one. I kind of lost my head at the beginning debating whether to take video or just pictures. And I couldn’t find my autograph sheet at first with all the stuff I was carrying. Plus there was no way I would have been able to take all the barricade pictures and get all their autographs without her help. And she was the one who got Anoop to take a picture with me! I enjoyed talking to her and the other Adam fans around me. The idols came out relatively quickly, but we were still waiting outside for a while, so it was nice to have people to talk to. Awesome Adam lady was like my barricade mom ☺ And final final note: I also used the bag I gave Anoop to carry all of my concert stuff. I made sure to take out my binoculars, camera, and mini-Anoop poster I’d bought before I gave him the bag, but I think I left a paper with the address to the venue in there. (I’d written down the address in case I had to use the GPS to get to the venue because of all the construction on INT 81.) So I’m really hoping I did not leave any other papers or something in there as well. Anoop will think “Why did this girl give me all her junk?” haha. And I just thought of it now, but I didn’t write “Wachovia Arena” on the sheet of paper, just the address of the venue. So I hope Anoop doesn’t think I was trying to slip him my home address or something HAHAHA.
