The last interview Anoop did with Brian Mansfield, Anoop mentioned he'd like to promote his music in India. So that brought up the idea of trying to get the attention of some of the media that blogged about Anoop while he was on AI. We would even like to try and reach those who didn't blog about him. So if you all have any ideas on how we can go about this, we would love to hear it. Here is an email from one of our Troopers.
Oh and if anyone wants to elaborate on what I'm talking about, go right ahead. I sometimes don't tend to explain myself that well.
(email - updated by yoko as appropriate) I think we should target Indian media/publications as well as websites
India Abroad - oldest indian newspaper published in North America
Little India - free magazine targeted to desis & is the largest indian publication in usa
AVS - Asian Variety Show is a show for South Asians that plays every Saturday & Sunday on many public stations across the US
sepiamutiny.com - Many of the visitors of this site are such witty writers. They are very articulate. Sam, I think this site is right up your ally.
If there is a desi radio station in your city, POST INFO IN THIS THREAD
Sapna Magazine
Stardust Magazine
Femina magazine
currybear.com

In regards to the above e-mail that Diana included in her OP, I wrote that e-mail around April of last year, so I don't actually mean for people to call a radio station & ask them to play,"Everything I Do" hehe. That part of the email is a little outdated. After I wrote the email, Anoop has come out with his OWN original music(although it doesn't have the finishing touches on it yet). Also his single is coming out soon, so we should ask radio stations to play the single when that comes out. Last year some radio stations played some of Anoop's songs that he performed on American Idol. So, that is why AT THE TIME, I threw out the idea of calling & requesting EID. I haven't called any US radio stations since that time. Also, I spelled the word 'alley' incorrectly. Sorry, I'm just a sucker for spelling LOL.

Nene and Diana - I made an executive decision to edit the email part a bit to update it.
Everyone - If you know of the URL for any of the desi or Indian sites listed above, or any other Indian/Desi media outlets, PLEASE POST HERE.

found another one: houston.eknazar.com/this one has different cities attached to it. I'm not sure who mentioned this, but its a great idea for the PR to buy an ad space on these websites! I'd see Adam's ad everywhere i went to. amazon, rickey, mjs' etc. I have no clue how much something like that costs.

Maybe we should contact his marketing peeps about the ad space... They could use the "All is Fair" pic at myspace =) I love how the big & orangey fonts worked well! =)
