Anoop's team is interested in knowing what music festivals are out there. They are interested in all regions but also specifically looking for info from the Philippines and Indonesia.
Please list music fests in your area. Include approximate dates and URL's if available.

I don't know of any local music festivals (aside from folk/classical ones), however, I know that New England hosts the Big E and a lot of acts come to perform. Boys II Men, Sugarland and a few other acts came to perform this past year.

There are two CT stations and at least one NYC station that I know of that have artists or bands perform mini concerts at clubs where the artist or band plays a set (often acoustic I think) and then there is a chance for an audience meet and greet. People win their way into these contests or redeem rewards' points to get in. 96.5 TIC has had Jordin Sparks, Kris Allen, and Michael Buble. KC 101.3 has had Jason Castro, Kris Allen, Uncle Kracker, Push Play, and is scheduled to have Matisyahu. This gives me hope bc not all these folks are major label artists. 95.5 PLJ in NYC has concerts at the China Club. I know Bon Jovi has played there but I don't know if they only take the big names.

Also, Labor Day 2009, KC 101.3 sponsored Ticket to Ride, a concert at Six Flags New England in Massachusetts which featured different artists including Push Play and Pit Bull. I believe Justin Bieber and Jesse James were scheduled to appear and think that Jesse couldn't make it but can't be absolutely sure. But it seemed like a showcase for newer artists. I think you could win tix on the radio or buy them.
