from: musicboxgirl.livejournal.com/98031.htmlLOOOVVVEEEE THIS!!!! "ANOOP! I'm not gonna front, I'm an Anoop convert as of this show. Seriously, the boy has some moves and he can sing and he was SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH, AND HE HAD PURPLE SNEAKERS. I f***ING LOVE HIM. LLLLLLOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEEE. He's very, very PIMP. Anoop also used the bowels of hell to ascend into our plane of existence. I was kind of mesmerized by him for a while (and possibly I was squeeing over his shoes for a good chunk of that time too but whatever). You know how some people just have 'it' and then others don't *coughcough*? Anoop has 'it'. He's like this sparkler that you just can't take your eyes off of. I practically peed my pants when he sang 'My Prerogative' by Bobby Brown. HE SANG IT! And he was gyrating and thrusting up a storm. I watched in slack jawed amazement and I maybe cried a little bit. . . a lot. . . I wanted to touch him. I have over 20 pictures of him, that should say something. Anoop accidentally my lady bits." "Then, THEN OMFG, I died. Why did I die? AAAANNNNNOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPP! *dies again*" "LOOK AT THIS GQMF! Tell me you didn't just feel a curl of desire in the pit of your stomach. Stop lying to yourselves. LOOK AT HIM AND HIS GLASSES! AND LISTEN TO HIM. *sigh* f***, I need a break or I'm going to bust out into FULL ON FANGIRLING. Nobody wants that." Speechless. I'm so proud of our Noopy!!!!

Source: blogs.ajc.com/american-idol-blog/2009/08/03/interviews-with-michael-sarver-scott-mcintyre-kris-allen-allison-iraheta-anoop-desai/Anoop Desai:: I mentioned to him that a friend of mine spied him eating a burger at the Vortex in Little Five Points on Thursday. Anoop had the Elvis burger, slathered with bananas, peanut butter and bacon. Mmmm…. bacon. “I liked it,” he said. He was hanging with his best friend David Mikush and David’s fiance. David and Anoop were college roomies. While Kris was catching a film, Anoop also went to see a friend play at a club in Buckhead, the name of which escaped him. I ran into him at the Amos Lee concert at Variety Playhouse a couple months ago, where he sang during the encore on stage. “I love Amos Lee,” he said. “He’s a great musician and great writer. One of my favorite artists, really. I met with him before the show and he asked if I wanted to sing ‘Crazy Love’ during the finale. That’s a song I sang with the Clefhangers [the a capella group he was with at UNC.] I knew it. That was a highlight.” (Here’s the video I shot at the time) His goal during his solo turn during “Idols Live” is define who he is to the audience, he said. “I don’t think the show, I got across who I am,” he said. He chose the classic ballad “Always on My Mind,” a mid-tempo R&B tune “Mad” and an upbeat R&B dance hit “My Prerogative.” He sees himself in the R&B/pop vein. “It’s not T Pain or Usher,” he said. “It’s very lyrical, very musical. More Ne-Yo. In my mind, that’s what R&B should be.”‘

We seem to have little Atlanta goodies. Anyways. Found this awesome review from MJ's.[/b] mjsbigblog.com/meghans-american-idol-tour-2009-atlanta-re-cap.htmMeghan's American Idol Tour 2009 Atlanta Re-cap
"Like many others, this was my first AI tour experience. It was all because of a certain contestant whose name begins with an A….that’s right, Anoop. His voice blew me away during the auditions and he remained my favorite throughout the competition. I was pumped to finally see him live. I was also looking forward to Kris, Allison, Matt and all of the cheesy group numbers."
" Anoop- Well, I won’t claim to be impartial or objective or anything of the sort. Fantastic. Amazing. Beautiful voice. “Always on My Mind” was flawless vocally. My friend, who was a Kris and Allison fan, leaned over to me and asked, “Now, how was it he didn’t last longer on the show?” That performance received the loudest and most enthusiastic response so far. “Mad” was next and it is exactly the type of song he should record if he makes an album. “My Prerogative” was just all sorts of fun. I noticed more “moves” in this performance than I had seen in other videos. He seemed really comfortable and happy to be in Atlanta. I noticed mostly male voices chanting “Anoooooop.” He seems to be the guy’s guy of this group. "
Wow. I love this. Finally, someone who watched the concert to see Anoop. [/b]
