Remember Anoop kept mentioning Ne-Yo, The Dream, and other A-list producers and production teams every time he was interviewed during the AI tour?
It appears that he has quickly adjusted his expectations and career plans. Instead of waiting for an A-list producer to return a call, he is agressively seeking collaborations with independent and/or up-and-coming songwriters. By doing so, he is building up his musical portfolio with great pieces of recorded music much more rapidly than he would by waiting for Ne-Yo to return the call.
I am very excited about this approach. Sure. I would love to see him selling 300,000 albums. But realistically speaking, that wouldn't happen if he released an album right now. Starting small, increasing core (cult? haha) followers, and earning industry recognitions are perfectly good steps toward making it huge (i.e., 300,000 albums).
I can't wait to hear those new original songs that he mentioned during the AI Now chat (http://teamanoopdesai.com/2009/11/25/the-ainow-org-chat-summary-and-transcript/)!!!

I like what he's doing & it will allow him have more control over his music. It's also good to have a cult lol a strong foundation that will support him all the way. Baby steps & gain 1 fan at a time then world domination. Our gentleman is grinding a lot & he will not be a "one hit wonder" artist =)
I'm super excited too to hear those songs! =) hmmm maybe before his birthday? =)

Anoop is a smart guy, and he knows what's best for him. I personally love this approach. He's going to build his fanbase this way, and he already has a few celebrity followers, but he's using this plan and I like it.
